* Position Description *

The Senior Change Manager will lead on all change management and comms activities for Pearson’s Global Operations team. We want you to help take our people on a change journey at a time where lots is going to be different. The pace will be hectic, you will no doubt encounter resistance, but the business is firmly committed to driving this change agenda. You will develop strategies for, and oversee the execution of efforts to attract stakeholders and programme participants. You will lead on process re-engineering and business readiness activities and provide leadership for maintaining and increasing Global Operations programme visibility through the optimisation of all communication channels.

* Key Deliverables *

●Defining the change plan for a range of key initiatives across Global Operations

●Support the 4 Global Ops Pillars (Supply Chain, Customer Service, Real Estate & Procurement) and Programme teams in mobilizing a change management workstream and developing stakeholder analyses and associated change management plans

●Working closely with the programme team to establish and track robust business readiness measures and plans

●Develop and roll out Global Ops wide change management standards, templates and best practices

●Drive communication efforts including the design, development and delivery of communications - establishing and communicating the overall Global Ops Transformation story

●Support training efforts by providing input on the design and delivery of training programs

●Have familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle—and what change management approaches are useful during the various phases of a project

●Ensures “success conditions” for effective knowledge transfer to clients impacted by changes across Global Operations

●Working with wider change programmes / personnel across Pearson to ensure integrated planning and approach

●Assessing the impact of the change for internal Pearson employees, managers and third parties

●Identifying and managing key stakeholders through the change

●Establishing a network of change agents and experienced users

●Build relationships and trust with key stakeholders to support program delivery and collaborative approaches where appropriate

●May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports in the future

●Work supportively and collaboratively with other teams within the Programme and throughout Pearson, including Corporate Affairs, HR, Finance, Technology and Geography leaders

Qualifications

* Essential Skills /Experience *

● Demonstrated expertise in successfully managing change initiatives with multiple and competing priorities.

● Experience and knowledge of change management and principles, methodologies and tools.

● Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) to support facilitation of meetings / workshops and communicate with all levels of the organization.

● Excellent active listening skills in order to identify risks and/or resistance to organizational changes.

● Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills in order to effectively build relationships throughout the organization and able to work with and through others.

● Works well with numerous internal partners including senior leadership and their respective teams

● Works well within an organization that is experiencing transformation; flexibility is a must

● Calm and steady disposition, can manage and complete various assignments in timely and calm manner

● Enthusiasm and dedication to win and have fun!

● Have at least 3 years of experience in a comms / change management role either in- house or with an agency

● Successful experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic change and communication programmes to advance an organization's mission and goals

● Demonstrate the stature, gravitas, and confidence to gain credibility with the senior leadership teams and stakeholders.

● Outstanding writer, and communicator with the ability to create and deliver a compelling and unique narrative
