Duringthis time there will be a number of additional business units absorbed by theGlobal Network Services Operations team, some of which will require extensivework to secure, support, standardize and future proof.

Beforefully integrating the new services/ businesses, there is an urgent requirementto ensure the service and the businesses are fully integrated into the Tech Opsoperational standard configuration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure data network environments including: branches, private cloud, 3rdparty connectivity and public cloud

  • Monitor incident & problem queues, assign tickets to engineers according to available skills.

  • DNS troubleshooting and configuration.

  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to pre-agreed Service Levels and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability

  • Perform Move, Additions, Deletion and Changes as necessary in accordance with departmental change policy.

  • Take appropriate steps to resolve Service Issues as and when they occur under the guidance of the Senior Network Engineer.

  • Raise and execute Change Records in accordance with departmental change policy

  • Perform all hands-on tasks associated with supporting a Network Environment

  • Participation in the On-Call Global support rot or work on shift basis to support all regions.

  • Primary escalation point for network troubleshooting for US after-hours times

  • Prepare technical reports, test cases, client presentations, design documentation, and manuals

  • Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot client VPN connections

  • Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot wireless networks and wireless connectivity

  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with hardware and software vendors

  • Perform installation and configurations of Cisco, Juniper, F5, Check Point, Cisco ASA, network and security hardware and software

  • Demonstrated infrastructure design, configuration, test and troubleshooting ability

  • Participate on an global on-call rota

Qualifications:

  • Should hold a valid CCNA certification. Having CCNP/CCSP/CCVP would be an added advantage

  • Cisco Wireless certification(s) preferred

  • Should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or any other relevant field

  • 7 years of experience in enterprise data networking, both in a build and support environment

  • Extensive, hands-on knowledge of the following platforms: Cisco route/switch and Cisco Wireless

  • Expert understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, GRE, VPN

  • Hands on experience with F5 is a must.

  • Experience with Infoblox

  • Experience with Checkpoint and Fortinet security appliances

  • Firewall related certifications ( Fortigate/Checkpoint/Cisco ) are preferred

  • ITIL Foundation or higher is preferred

Technical Competency

  • Hands on experience with application level load balancers such F5 LTMs and GTMs

  • ITIL knowledge or prior experience in an ITIL managed environment

  • Hands on experience with Cisco routers/switches running IOS 12.4 or higher

  • Hands on experience with Firewalls ( Fortigate/Checkpoint/Cisco ASA )

  • Solid understanding in Routing Protocols EIGRP, OSPF, BGP

  • Sound knowledge in switching technologies such as STP, Port Channeling

  • Good knowledge and prior experience in implementing QOS

  • Implementation and troubleshooting experience on VPN technologies

  • Preparing diagrams with Microsoft Visio

  • Deep understanding of network monitoring & management tools

Non-TechnicalCompetency

  • Should have very good verbal & written communication skills

  • Should be willing to work on extended and irregular hours when required

  • Ability to present to internal audiences and excellent communication skill

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment

  • Should be comfortable in working under pressure when required
